Silver Kris Lounge, Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport

Text and Photos by Arthur Jeciel

Since Thai Airways is a Star Alliance member, my business class boarding pass also gave me access to another Star Alliance lounge in Bangkok: the Singapore Airlines Silver Kris Lounge. And since it was just a few meters away from Thai Airways Royal Silk Lounge, I decided to have a closer look of this small but very nice lounge.

The Silver Kris Lounge is located on Level 3, Concourse A, opposite Bangkok Airways Lounge.

Business class passengers departing same day on Singapore Airlines operated flight.

Business class passengers on any Star Alliance flight/ Star Alliance Gold members departing same day.

Opening Hours

The lounge is open from 6:30am to 8:30pm.

Lounge Seating Area

With a total area of 350 sq. meters, the lounge can accommodate about 102 passengers.

I actually love the design of the lounge, and with the shades of orange, it's very chic and modern.

There are internet PCs and free wifi. I love when lounges are using Apple iMacs......pretty cool!

There is also a good selection of magazines and newspapers.

Snacks from the self-service buffet include a selection of sandwiches, fresh fruits and occasionally some warm dishes, depending on the time of the day.

Haagen Dazs ice cream is also available for all you ice cream lovers out there!

Toilet and Shower Room

Unfortunately, there is no toilet nor a shower room. A public toilet is located just beside the lounge.

A pretty small lounge compared to Thai Airways own lounges here in Bangkok. Nevertheless, I love the design of the lounge itself and that the food selection is very good. Apple computers (I guess I'm not being unfair) and the Haagen Dazs ice cream are a big plus. The only downside is that there is no toilet and that you have to go outside of the lounge to find one. If you happen to be in Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport and flying with Star Alliance in business class or have Gold card, feel free to visit this lounge. It will be worth it.
