Introduction
November 18, 2013 Flying business class intra-Europe may seem to be boring since it's only a few hours flight. But I have to say that not all the airlines serving the continent deliver a very good job in rendering professional service and very good food, and that there is always something to look forward to in every flight. I've always been impressed with Lufthansa and today, I was able to experince the same quality service from the cabin attendants.
Lounge
The SAS Lounge at Terminal 5 is a very basic lounge with good food offerings and free internet/wifi connection. For more pictures of this lounge, please click here.
Boarding
My boarding pass from my iphone's passbook app.
Boarding started on time at Gate 7 and as soon as I reached the entrance, I was greeted by the cabin attendant.
Aircraft
The Airbus 321 (manufactured in 2007) on a cold morning at Stockholm Arlanda Airport
Seat
As usual, the middle seat is left vacant for "Your Space".
Minutes after settling in, I was offered some magazines and I chose the Time to keep me updated.
The legroom is okay considering that I am not a very tall guy.
The right side of the business class cabin.
The flight to Frankfurt was almost 100 percent full that day, with only one vacant of the 26 seats.
Meal
The breakfast on the flight consisted of a plate of cold cuts, different kind of cheese, a small bowl of fruits and muffins.
A delicious plate of cheese and cold cuts.
About 40 minutes before landing, duty free was offered. A few minutes later, we were given a souvenir: a bottle of Feines Zeug containing white almonds, dried cranberries and cherry.
Entertainment
Some newspapers and magazines were available.
Toilet and Lavatory
The toilet and lavatory was always kept clean.
Conclusion
This was my third time to take this flight (Stockholm to Frankfurt) with Lufthansa so I already knew more or less what to expect. As usual, the service was very professional and yet friendly. The food served tasted very good and the little gift before landing was something new, which was very much appreciated. Overall, flying with Lufthansa intra-Europe is always a good experience.
