I am already familiar with the United Club Lounge since we were here in February, on our way to Tokyo. This is actually a very nice and spacious lounge with very good food on the buffet area.
Boeing 767-300ER Version 2
One doesn't need to get to the airport to drop the luggages as one can do it right at the City Terminal.
Boarding at Gate 28, an hour later than the scheduled time , due to bad weather in Hongkong
The business class cabin has a total of 35 seats, 18 of which were occupied that day.
My seat 7A, was a window.
Predeparture beverage and snack: Gin and Tonic, Rice crackers
The champagne on board was Champagne Heidsieck & Co monopole Blue Top Brut
My meal choice, Japanese. Drinks: ANA's original Aromatic Kabosu
Kuchidori: Japanese savory omelet rolled with vegetables
Wakame seaweed and bamboo shoot fishcake
Simmered octopus in soy-based sauce
Kobachi: Savory egg pudding with sea urchin
Shusai: Grilled seabass teriyaki (194 kcal)
Rice: Steamed rice mixed with green peas
Each seat has a personal touch screen monitor.
Headset and Entertainment controls
A pair of slippers is a must for the Japanese travellers, I guess.
Toothbrush and paste, mouth refresh, face and body sheet are available in the lavatory.
Arrival in Osaka
We arrived at the Osaka Kansai International Airport around 9:30 in the evening so we just headed direct to the hotel. The following day, we started our tour by visiting the Osaka Castle.
Flying with ANA in business class is always a wonderful experience for me. It was my first time to have a Japanese meal on board and it surely won't be the last. The cabin looked very clean which is a testament why they won the Best Airline Cabin Cleanliness Award last month, according to Skytrax. To ANA, arigato gozaimasta!
